| Deafness | Carried by the Dalamation, one of the breeds that originally created the ACD. | SHF performs individualized stimuli testing on each pup before it leaves the farm to insure that the pup is not deaf. |
| Hip Displasia | Deformity of the hip joint. | SHFs breeding stock is composed of sires and dams that either have OFA Certification or have no documentation of being affected by Hip Displasia or any of their ancestors. |
